It all starts on a piece of paper, sketching ideas that I know will translate well to leather. I draw inspiration from many places including music and nature, and always try to put my own spin on each design.
I use traditional techniques and hand tools to create each piece. Every mark on the leather is meticulously placed by striking a tool with a mallet. The holes are pre-punched and each stitch is sewn by hand.
The tooled leather is then carefully finished with a combination of stains, dyes, antiquing paste, and oils to enhance and protect the design. Each piece will last for decades and is completely one of a kind!
